Rubidium oxide is a yellow solid that is a strong base, reacting easily and exothermically with water to form rubidium hydroxide. Oxide compounds are not conductive to electricity. However, certain perovskite structured oxides are electronically conductive finding appliion in the hode of solid oxide fuel cells and oxygen generation systems.
Uses. Rubidium uses could extend up to manufacturing photocells, atomic clocks and electronic tubes. Rubidium salts are utilized in creating glass and ceramic wear. The element is used in manufacturing special types of glass, in research and development of potassium ion channels as well as producing superoxide when it reacts with oxygen.

In this lecture we continue the discussion of Quantum Numbers and their use in Electron Configurations as well as the relationship of electron configuration to the periodic properties of the elements.
Jun 01, 2017 · Gravity Wave Seeding of Equatorial Plasma Bubbles. NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS) Singh, Sardul; Johnson, F. S.; Power, R. A. . Some examples from the Atmosphere Explorer E data showing plasma bubble development from wavy ion density structures in the bottomside F layer are described. The wavy structures mostly had eastwest wavelengths of 150800 km, in one .
Mar 12, 2018 · Platinum is only one of the alysts that are contained in alytic converters.(Catalysts are chemicals that neutralize and remove the pollutants that automobile exhausts contain.) Other metals in alytic converters include cerium, copper, iron, manganese, nickel, palladium, and that those are not all precious metals.
Mar 10, 2020 · Palladium is the most expensive of the four major precious metals – gold, silver and platinum being the others. It is rarer than platinum, and is used in larger quantities for alytic converters. In the nearterm, the demand for metals used in alytic converters is expected to be steady, buoyed by growing automotive sales in Asia.
